On friday 13th July the boys
and young men of Plock Cathedral, Poland
presented a concert of choral music following the 7pm mass. Choir Director: Mrs Anna Bramska,
Artistic Director Mr Wiktor Bramska.
Mrs Bramska has worked very hard building up this unique choir of
boys
and men in Plock, the beautiful historic city where St Faustina first
received the vision of the Divine Mercy. Unlike many 'professional'
choirs in the Cathedrals of England the boys of Plock go to different
schools (not a choir school) and come from ordinary homes. Prior to
their arrival in Coventry the choir have been singing at various
venues: Westminster & Liverpool CAthedrals, and teh Oxford
Oratory. Tomorrow they are at St Chad's Cathedra;l in Birmingham, and
again at Christ the King 9am Sunday mass and the the 11am Mass at the
Polish Church in Springfield Road. The concert programme included Gaude
Mater Polonia, Nie Opuszczaj nas, cantabile, Muchty samochwaly,
Klesczmy rekoma. Jezu Salvador Mundi, pater Noster, Litania do Marii
Panny, Chwalcie prewiecznyj, Chwalitie imia Hospodnie, Utoli moja
pieczali, Chwalitie imia Hospodnie, Priiditie poklonimsia, Szczedryk.
